By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site or purchase products.
1. Eligibility & research use only
This website and the products offered herein are intended exclusively for qualified researchers and laboratories. By placing an order, you affirm that:
- You are at least 19 years of age (the age of majority in British Columbia).
- You are purchasing products solely for in vitro laboratory research.
- You are not purchasing for human or animal consumption, therapy, diagnosis, prevention, or cure of any condition.
- You will not resell, redistribute, or repackage products for human use.
- You are legally entitled to receive research chemicals in your jurisdiction.
2. Products are not approved drugs
None of the peptides or compounds offered by Lumera Labs Inc. ("Lumera," "we," "us") have been evaluated, reviewed, or approved by Health Canada, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or any other regulatory authority for human use. Products are sold as research chemicals only. They are not dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, drugs, or medical devices.
The information provided on product pages, the Journal, the FAQ, the Quality page, the Lab Results page, and elsewhere on this website is for scientific and educational purposes. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, treatment recommendations, dosing instructions, or therapeutic guidance. Consult a licensed physician for medical concerns.
3. Lawful research
You agree to use Lumera products only in a research setting that is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies. This includes but is not limited to: Health Canada Food and Drugs Act and regulations; the U.S. Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and FDA compounding rules (Sections 503A and 503B); provincial pharmacy and therapeutics legislation; and your institution's biosafety and chemical safety protocols.
Lumera reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order that we reasonably believe is intended for unlawful use, human consumption, or compounding into unapproved drugs.
4. Order acceptance & pricing
An order is not accepted until Lumera issues a confirmation email. Prices, availability, and specifications are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing or descriptive errors and to limit order quantities. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
5. Shipping
Orders dispatched from Kelowna, BC via cold-chain courier. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. Lumera is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or force majeure events. Returns
Because Lumera products are temperature-sensitive research reagents, returns are accepted only for: damage in transit, lot purity below the published Certificate of Analysis (COA), or documented cold-chain failure. See the Returns policy for full details. Opened product is non-returnable.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumera Labs Inc., its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, data, or goodwill. Lumera's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from a product or order shall not exceed the purchase price of that product or order.
Lumera makes no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Products are sold "as is" for laboratory research use. The buyer assumes all risk associated with the receipt, handling, storage, and use of the product.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumera Labs Inc. from any claim, damage, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your misuse of the product, including any administration to humans or animals; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, photography, design, the Lumera Labs name and L-hex logo, and software — is owned by Lumera Labs Inc. and protected by copyright and trademark law. No reproduction or commercial reuse without written permission.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute is the courts located in Kelowna, BC.
11. Changes to these terms
Lumera may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
